MOSICH’s storefront, from its editorial product experience to the systems quietly running behind it, was designed and built by Jesse Charles-Agu, a web developer and full-stack engineer who works across the full breadth of a digital product: interface, architecture, data, and the details that connect them.
About This Build
MOSICH is a full-stack e-commerce storefront, built end to end rather than assembled from a template. The customer-facing side includes a responsive product catalog with colorway and size variants, a search experience with live suggestions and product discovery, authenticated customer accounts, and a checkout flow connected to real payment and delivery providers. Behind it sits a purpose-built admin system for managing products, inventory, and orders, along with the database structures and server logic that keep stock levels, pricing, and order history accurate as real customers use the site.
Building MOSICH meant moving fluidly between these layers, from the visual language and interaction detail of a product page to the data model and business logic that determine what that page is actually allowed to show and sell. Inventory has to stay honest under concurrent purchases; a product’s colorway options have to resolve to the exact size and stock a customer is buying; an admin editing a product shouldn’t be able to put the storefront into an inconsistent state. Those constraints shaped the underlying architecture as much as any visual decision did.
The storefront itself was built mobile-first and tested across a full range of device widths, since most browsing happens on a phone even when the eventual purchase doesn’t. Deployment and data considerations, like how schema changes roll out safely and how a production database stays consistent while new features ship, were treated as part of the actual engineering work, not an afterthought handled once and forgotten.
Approach
I work comfortably across the modern web stack, building interfaces that are responsive, considered, and free of unnecessary friction, while paying attention to the small interactions that make a digital product feel intentional rather than assembled. I pair that with backend architecture designed to hold up under real use rather than just look correct in a demo: data models that stay consistent as a product or business grows, admin tooling that gives a team genuine control over its own systems, and the external services (authentication, payments, storage, delivery, email) that a real product depends on.
I treat performance and maintainability as ongoing responsibilities rather than one-time boxes to check. A codebase that’s easy to extend six months later is, in practice, part of what makes a digital product worth investing in. I approach software as a product-design discipline as much as a technical one: I want to understand what a business, brand, or founder is actually trying to accomplish, then build the specific system that gets them there cleanly, without unnecessary complexity.
This makes me a fit for a range of engagements: new business and brand websites, e-commerce stores, custom web applications, early-stage product builds, and the modernization of existing websites that have outgrown their current implementation. I can work across the full stack end to end, or focus specifically on the frontend, backend, or integration layer an existing project needs.
